OpenFOAM® v1712: OpenFOAM Community

Community contributions

The release of OpenFOAM v1712 builds upon ongoing efforts to engage the wider OpenFOAM community to unify OpenFOAM developments, acknowledging the efforts of development teams outside of the core OpenFOAM team.

Some developments are integrated directly into the main code base, e.g.

• finite area
• collated file input/output
• updated particle tracking
• wave boundary conditions
• deferred correct scheme

whereas other, particularly self-encapsulated contributions such as

• cfmesh, and
• avalanche modelling

are included via a new modules system.
