The wave height is modelled by the equation:
\[ \eta = \frac{H}{2} \cos (k x -\omega t + \phi) \]
where:
\( H \) | = | wave height |
\( k \) | = | wave number |
\( \omega \) | = | angular frequency |
\( \phi \) | = | phase shift |
\( t \) | = | time |
