OpenFOAM® Software Support
OpenCFD provide support packages for OpenFOAM, usually charged on the basis of a fixed number of support hours over a 1 year period. Support is provided by email and we respond quickly to customers’ requests. Different types of support are available, the details of which are given below.
Level 1: CFD User Support
Level 1 OpenFOAM support is for those wishing to use OpenFOAM as supplied, including:
- Support for the installation of OpenFOAM;
- Advice on the general operation of executables supplied within the OpenFOAM;
- Assistance with setting up and running computational fluid dynamics calculations using OpenFOAM.
- This package does not include support for programming in OpenFOAM, but can be upgraded to the Level 2 package to include it.
Level 2: CFD Developer Support
Level 2 OpenFOAM support is for those wishing to make customised developments of OpenFOAM, and includes in addition to Level 1:
- Modification of applications and libraries supplied with OpenFOAM;
- Advice and assistance on using the OpenFOAM libraries to program new applications and libraries for use within OpenFOAM;
- Early access to new versions of OpenFOAM before public release;
- Admission of developments of general interest into the OpenFOAM release to ensure their continued maintenance (unless agreed otherwise).
